Watch Marvel’s The Punisher in January! Don’t Let the Cancelations get you down.

Although the sudden news about Daredevil’s cancellation has put huge dread of seeing Marvel’s The Punisher get canceled into people’s hearts, all that dread and doom and gloom didn’t stop today’s Punisher teaser announcement from causing great excitement among fans of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, including myself, for the new Punisher Season which is set to premiere on Netflix sometime in January. The first Official Punisher Season 2 trailer has yet to be revealed. I don’t know when. But what I do know is that judging by this teaser photo just posted by Jon, himself on Instagram.

I believe that Punisher Season 2 is going to be one badarse show the moment it premieres on Netflix in January!

I know that people are still upset about the cancellation of Daredevil and it has tainted the excitement for the Punisher, too, but please PLEASE watch TPS the week it comes out. Maybe the viewership actually matters when these decisions are made.

Take it from Linda, folks. Marvel’s The Punisher is just too awesome not to be watched and to be marred by doom and gloomsayers who say “Why should we watch it? The show’s going to get canceled anyway.”

Don’t believe all those faulty comments about cancelations. They never amount to anything. Instead, take my advice.

Never give in to all of the doom and gloom about Punisher being canceled that’s being thrown out there in the entertainment world.
Don’t even think about using the cancellation of Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist as an excuse not to watch Punisher, either.
Subscribe to Netflix one more time to watch Punisher. If you cancel your subscription out of solidarity for Daredevil, go back and renew it for Punisher.
Write to Netflix thanking Jeph Loeb and the crew for showing Punisher and encourage it to keep Punisher on the air and renew it for Season 3 and onwards.
Make Punisher ratings soar and encourage others to watch Punisher. Don’t let the doomsayers keep you from seeing Frank send criminals to Hell.
And above all watch Punisher!

Who knows? Maybe Netflix will allow Punisher to stay on Netflix and renew it for Season 3, 4, or maybe 5 while The Defenders that was on Netflix will have to wait two years for them to appear on the new Disney+ network due to a Disney Clause. You just never know until it happens.

Why does The Punisher play the harp?

It’s easy to imagine The Punisher shooting up criminal hideouts and blowing off the heads of thugs and mob bosses as the ultimate punishment for their crimes. But it’s hard to imagine (and believe) that there is also very gentle side to The Punisher no one knows about except for The Defenders (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist), Microchip (aka David Linus Liberman), and Spider-man (aka Peter Parker) who actually saw and became amazed at him doing something no one has ever thought he could do with his violent hands– play the harp. A gentle stringed musical instrument no one could ever believe that The Punisher would have such talent and ability to use his otherwise destructive hands to gently and tenderly pluck and caress its strings.

Indeed, it’s very hard to imagine and believe that the Punisher’s violent hands that brake bones, strangle necks, and punch out guts are the very same hands that softly and tenderly pluck, caress, and gracefully sweep across the strings of the harp.

Why does he do it, you asked? Because Frank is doing this in memory of his family whom he communes with through songs, poems, and prayers as he gracefully wave his battle-scarred arms and hands across the strings to fill his private family shrine with harp music that moves The Punisher to joyful tears.

Where did the Idea of The Punisher and his Harp come from?

It’s a concept I, Sherry Konkus made up myself. It combines my new found obsession with The Punisher that I had since 2014 and my life long love for the harp. It is the very best concept I ever made. This is my version of The Punisher from Marvel Comics who is portrayed by me as the punishing harpist who plays the harp in memory of his late family who got killed by a criminal mob years ago and whenever he needs a break from waging a one man war against organized crime.

The Punisher was created by Gerry Conway with the help of artists John Romita, Sr. and Ross Andru. His name coined by Stan Lee. The Punisher is owned and trademarked by MARVEL.

The idea, concept, and inspiration behind The Punisher’s portrayal as The Punishing Harpist who plays the harp in memory of his family is in fact my own. Sweetest. Idea. Ever.
