I usually draw freehandedly, but sometimes when I have a little hard time drawing the face perfectly I resort to trace the face around to make it as accurate as possible. But even that didn’t work out well as I like. But then I realized that one of my earliest Punisher fanart pics I drew last year is drawn to uncannily resemble Jon. And to think back then, I only used this Punisher artwork printed on Hasbro’s Marvel Universe toy package shown below as a role model for the head, not realizing that there will come a day when Jon, who played a character in The Walking Dead, bear a near perfect resemblance to the art on the package.
This incredible comparison inspired me to redo The Punisher pic without resorting to any form of trace art. What I did is just used Photoshop to tweak his skin and pant color and redo Frank’s head to resemble Jon in so many ways. The results are just incredible. Here, my friends, is the brand new version of The Punisher and his WarHarp.
Now that looks very much like Jon with his very short hair, mustache, and beard. Exactly what I want my drawing of Jon to look like as I start a special section of my Punisher fanart collection where The Punisher is portrayed by Jon Bernthal who will be seen in my collection as a harpist who plays the harp in memory of his fallen family and punish criminals as long as Matt doesn’t get in his way.

Sherry is the one who came up with the idea of portraying The Punisher from Marvel Comics as the punishing harpist who plays the harp in memory of his family who was killed by the mob years ago.
