I ordered this miniature guitar (on the right) the other day from ebay. It arrived just today at my doorstep. But how was I to know that the guitar I ordered which replicates the actual guitar Punisher plays in the most sweetest Punisher scene on earth in the upcoming Netflix series it way too big for my 6 inch Jon Bernthal Punisher figure to play?
The guitar is 10” long. The guitar I want to have my Punisher figure play has to be about 4 to 5 inches long. I honestly can’t afford to buy the 12” Jon Bernthal Punisher figure from Hot Toys to play the 10″ guitar at this time, sadly.
I could’ve spend more money on ordering another sunburst finished mini guitar hoping its the right size. But instead, I did the next best thing. I took some Sharpie markers and recreate the 5 inch miniature guitar I had to replicate Frank’s guitar.
Back before I find out what Frank’s guitar really looks like in the upcoming series, I thought Frank’s guitar resembles an old fashioned guitar that’s colored in a yellow brown finish. I went and bought two miniature guitars that are colored yellow and brown assuming that this is the guitar Frank will be playing. But my assumption was wrong. Frank’s guitar is in a sunburst finish. Many guitars are made in a sunburst finish whether they are acoustic or electric. Frank’s guitar is no exception. His guitar is terrific! And so is this replica I made using only sharpie markers to recreate Frank’s guitar.
It’s not a perfect replica of Frank’s guitar but close enough.
