Right now I am wearing a HUGE smile on my face. The official full trailer to Marvel’s The Punisher is now out! And it’s music to my eyes and ears– cue Metallica’s “One!”
After guessing what kind of guitar Frank will be playing, I saw the answer in the first part of the trailer. It’s an acoustic guitar in sunburst shades of orange and black, just like in the title of famous Netflix original series Orange is The New Black.
That looks like the Taylor 700 Series 710e Acoustic-Electric Guitar or The Yamaha FS740S FM Acoustic Guitar that Frank is playing in both the flashback and modern scenes. You can buy either of these guitars or any guitar you like from online music stores or any local music store outlet in your area and add it to your Punisher Cosplay.
This is the guitar scene I was looking forward to seeing ever since I first found out about it on the Newsarama live blog feed which reveals what the exclusive video montage contained when it was shown during The Defenders panel discussion at the #SDCC.
I admit I was deeply concerned about what the show will contain when it premieres on Netflix in due time. I was afraid that the show would make me feel very disturbed and uncomfortable watching it with all that blood, gore, and violence that the show will contain. But after I found out about the guitar scene, my excitement for the show went sky high! Now I’m really pumped up for The Punisher.
Now if only Jeph Loeb will do a scene showing Frank playing a rendition of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” on the harp when Season 2 is filming..
