The Punisher tracks Condor’s EMC operation to its source…a deserted psychiatric hospital.
Can Frank take down an asylum full of drug-enhanced killers, or will he become an inmate himself?!
Agent Ortiz is close behind. She’s rescuing her partner, and she’s done with following protocol.

As you can see in the preview, Ortiz discovers that it’s too late to save Anderson from Face who killed him and stripped him of his face. She now has no choice but to team up with Punisher, whom she blames for interfering with the investigation and causing the death of her partner, and survive fighting off Face’s drug induced army.

You know, when I first saw Face and his collection of faces he got from his previous victims, I was like, “This reminds me of Batman’s “Death of The Family” story line.” That’s where The Joker asks DollMaker to surgically remove his face from his head and pinned it to a wall. Then he escaped from Arkham and disappeared from the public eye for a year. Then he returned to carry out a criminal plot to destroy Batman’s legacy by reliving his old criminal capers with a new twist and kidnapping several members of the Batman family, including Batman, and forced them to take part in a mock dinner party where the main dish served at the table is made up of the faces of every member of the Batman family. Thankfully the faces are faked. They were made of plaster. The actual faces where never removed. Batman breaks free and rescues his family. Then he tried to catch The Joker but the Clown Prince of Crime fell off a cliff and into a dark bottomless cavern. Miraculously he survived to go undercover as a staff intern in another Batman story line.

I’d bet Face would love to add the Joker’s face to his collection.

Face, The Punisher's main villain in Becky Cloonan's Punisher Run.

If he can find his way to the DCU and have access to the Joker’s face.

The Joker's Face after it was removed from Joker by Doll Maker.

But the Joker takes back his face eventually after it was retrieved from the asylum wall and sent to the police station for evidence.

What Face is doing at the likes of Arkham is reminiscent of Hugo Strange‘s experimental plot to create a drug that will turn ordinary Arkham patients into Monster Men and unleash them into Gotham City. The Joker did something much similar in the well known video game Batman: Arkham Asylum where the Clown Prince of Crime used a staff member as a pawn to create a TITAN drug that does exactly what the EMC and Hugo’s growth serum does. Now how would Punisher deal with Strange’s Monster Men if he finds himself in the DCU? The same way he’ll deal with Face’s own “Monster Men” when he goes up against them in Punisher #5… blow them all away!
