What a Coincidence! According to Comicbook.com, Daredevil Season 2 featuring Jon Bernthal as The Punisher will premiere on the very same day Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice will hit the theaters!
It seems rumors of Daredevil releasing earlier this year than it did in 2015 are true. ComicBook.com has learned from independent sources that Daredevil season two will launch on Netflix on March 25, 2016.
If that date sounds familiar and you somehow missed the headline, that’s the release date of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, making this debut announcement a firm salvo in the war between Marvel and DC Comics. Daredevil season one launched the Marvel TV/Netflix partnership to critical acclaim, and releasing the second season, which also introduces the Punisher and Elektra to the Marvel Cinematic Universe on the same day that WB is trying to build their own cinematic universe for DC Entertainment’s cast of characters is clearly a deliberate plan.
When that day comes, people will be faced with two choices– either check out Batman vs Superman on the big screen or Daredevil Season 2 at home on Netflix? Either way it’s going to be fun time watching a pair of either Marvel or DC Superheroes go at each others’ throats before eventually putting their differences aside, team up, and take on a powerful villain that threatens their world.
