About 5 years ago, when I first began creating Punisher Harp Art, I drew a non-harp image showing Frank doing what he does best – punishing!
I drew the art free-handedly using only pencils. Then I scanned the image and used Photoshop to finish the rest. The results were not to my liking. Turns out to be bad, not as good as the other Punisher art I did before that. To be honest I didn’t like it at all. So I threw the pencil art away and tried to get rid of all the copies of the art from my PC.
I got rid of some of it, but not all of it as you can see. The original above was left on my old Flickr account long before I deleted it upon finding out about Flickr’s plans to revamp itself under SmugMug, a different image site.
So I salvaged it and tried to make it better by changing the image of Frank around to improve his looks.
Frank’s no longer gritting his teeth and carries a bloody knife. He’s firing two pistols instead of one and his coat is darken in shades of black. That remake satisfied me for awhile until today when I decided to take the first original version of my Punisher art, put it on my Photoshop, and redo it to make it look much better than ever and be satisfied with its results.
Here it is, folks. The remake version of my original “Frank’s no angel” Punisher art.
As you can see, Frank’s face have been changed from his gritted teeth to the shape of his head. I reshaped the eyes, the mouth, the hair, the ears, darken his coat a bit more, added a belt to his black jeans, put a little shading on his large AK-47 rifle, redid the outlining, redid the handle of the knife, made the bloodstains much redder, and widen his torso.
Frank still looks menacing to evildoers, but I like him a whole lot better than he was when I did the original version of him back in 2014.
