Get yourselves pumped up with excitement once again as Empire Magazine has just released this exclusive photo taking from the set of the upcoming Netflix series The Punisher. It shows Jon Bernthal (as Frank Castle before he became The Punisher) dressed up in combat gear uniform ready to take down a ruthless enemy off camera!
In Daredevil Season 2, Ray Schoonover, Frank’s former colonel and the one responsible for the deaths of Frank’s family, said that Frank has some sort of a dark past that’s leading him to become what he is today. Somehow a force of darkness took a huge liking to Frank’s way of killing enemies. So it made a bargain with Frank and Frank said “yes” to the offer, just like in the highly acclaimed Punisher Max story, Born.
Jon Bernthal, who plays Frank Castle, says it best when he describes Frank’s unwillingness to abandon the role as The Punisher.
“It’s the only thing that silences the demons, temporarily. There’s going to be an attempt to move beyond the Punisher, but that’s something he can’t shake. There’s part of me that’s hungry to get back into the darkness, that’s excited to see it fall apart.”
There’s no escape The Punisher. If you’re guilty, you’re dead. Plain and Simple.
Marvel’s The Punisher will debut this Fall. It will star Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Micro, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Daniel Webber as Lewis Walcott, Shohreh Aghdashloo as Farah Madani, and Paul Schulze as Rawlins, with Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio in an undisclosed role.
The show will premiere on _/_/2017. You know? I’d be shocked if the series premieres in October or Early December. But it is likely that the show will premiere sometime in November.
