My apologies. I can explain.

Sorry about all the downtime the website has to go through last weekend, guys. I can explain. Siteground, the previous hosting site I used for my website, is one of the highest rated hostings sites out there for WordPress. Just as they say, the hosting site provides excellent services that help speed up the loading of WordPress websites like this one. I greatly enjoyed doing WP blogging with Siteground and would recommend this to everyone who is trying to find the best hosting site out there. The site would’ve been the only place to be in for WordPress blogging except that there is a downside to all of this. The site charges way too much for their services. No kidding. Who wants to pay $90 for a three-month pro package and pay an additional $80 a month to add more bandwidth to your site? Not me! I can’t afford to pay for those packages every three months. So I went out and hunted for another hosting site that provides the same service as SiteGround but at a very cheap price.
Later, I came upon A2 Hosting which is also voted as one of the best hosting sites out there with great reviews and affordable web packages. A lot like SG, A2 Hosting offers special packages that provide blog users with everything they need to speed up loading time on their website efficiently. The positive reviews and the offers A2 has to offer convinced me to try A2 and see how it will work out. I bought the Turbo package which is the highest of the 3 packages A2 has. It provides users with plugins that give out 20x the fastest speeds when it comes to loading up web pages. Then I backed up all my files and database to my PC, took down my SG account, and start migrating my site to the new A2 server.
But throughout the weekend, I encountered one obstacle after another such as encountering errors, having to play the waiting game with slow responses at the ticket and chatroom areas, unfamiliar files, lack of familiar features, inadvertent purchasing of duplicate packaging, getting impatient of long waiting for the mapping of my www.franksharpzone-f3df.kxcdn.com/wp-content/ domain to be completed, unfamiliar software, the list goes on and on.
I often find myself frustrated and being sorry that I joined A2 to the point where I just feel like going back to the old server grounds I’m familiar with. It has been this way since last Thursday when I left SG to come to A2 and start up my blog there. Because of the Cpanel option, I thought it would be easy to set up my site at A2 and have my blog up and running for a matter of hours. How was I to know that it would end up taking the whole weekend to have it all setup and running smoothly instead of several hours?
Here’s an example of what I’ve been through: When I started using A2, I first ordered the Windows version of the package, but it didn’t have the Cpanel option. Instead, it had the Plesk program which I didn’t like too well. I tried using it but had a hard time making it work for me. So I contacted the people behind the site and ask to convert the package to the Cpanel which I’m most familiar with.
They did. But I took notice that it had features that didn’t suit me well such as a program called Softaculous. It’s an app software that helps automatically install your platform software on your Cpanel main HTML folder without you manually doing it yourself. I can install my WordPress blog manually just fine without the Softaculous program. Therefore I didn’t need the program.
I had to struggle with importing all my files and my database I backed up on my PC. I encountered a whole lot of errors. I even notice the lack of the Let’s Encrypt option that was supposed to be on the Cpanel board in the Security section. A2 said it didn’t need to have the icon on the list because they automatically provide with the SSL certificate for your domain sites free of charge the moment the mapping of the domain to the website is completed. I got so fed up with the first package that I ditched the first package and ordered the second one.
I could’ve put in one of the other domains I have beside the www.franksharpzone-f3df.kxcdn.com/wp-content/ domain, but I ended up putting the franksharpzone domain on the second package instead because I used it often. The next thing I knew the second package ended up as pending due to the primary domain being exactly the same as the first one. I had a very hard time trying to get in contact with the people behind the hosting site whether through phone calls or chat rooms and explain to them what happened.
On Saturday, I didn’t want to shop for groceries until the website is fixed. But I had to. I was just about out of a lot of food and I couldn’t put up with an empty fridge and pantry much longer. When I came back, I manage to get a hold of the gurus of A2 in the chat room area and manage to clarify what I’ve been trying to tell them for the past 2 days. I told them that I’m new to their site and that I needed help to get everything set up right so I can set up my site and use it again. So the person behind the chat room submitted a ticket to the maintenance group explaining to them what’s going on and apologized to me for all of the inconveniences I had to put up with.
It took all day yesterday and a bit of today but eventually, with help from the A2 gurus, I finally got everything all repaired. And now my site is up and running. I’m ready to go! Time to create another Punisher Harp Art with Ben Barnes’ version of the Punisher villain we all love to hate, Billy Russo, aka Jigsaw at the strings again!
Just wait till you see Billy in a new batch of Punisher Behind-the-Scenes photos and videos that have turned up while I was struggling with moving my site, showing Billy with his now wrecked face!
