It’s been a little while since I came home from groceries shopping. I settled down to eat my lunch and look up Twitter and lo’ and behold….

Details of Marvel’s The Punisher Season 2 has just been released through! YAY!! It reveals that Frank (Jon Bernthal) is going to do some cross-country traveling to find himself after he avenged the deaths of his murdered family.

According to the article, Season 2 will take place exactly where Season 1 left off. Frank, believing there are no more wars for him to fight, goes off on a cross-country trip to find himself and try to begin a new life. Curtis Hoyle (Jason R. Moore) gives him an old beat-up trailer to live in that will serve as Frank’s personal hideout. Frank will live in that beat-up trailer and use it to travel across the country to find peace. But peace will never come because there will be something or someone who will come along and force Frank back into the war. Like a troubled teenage girl named Amy Bendix (Giorgia Whigham) who is out on the run from a mad preacher name John Pilgrim (Josh Stewart) who seeks to destroy her for whatever she did which she wishes she’d never got herself into, but she did. And as the result, she’s out on the run and ends up seeking Frank’s help.

“Blue Jeans. I just met a man in blue jeans.”

Frank will end up taking Amy under his wing and become her father-figure. He agrees to help her, take up the mantle of the skull once more, and start his Rain of Death on a part of the criminal underworld that’s being run by an evil preacher name John Pilgrim who is not based on any comic book character, especially The Mennonite from Punisher Max. He is a new character that’s not like any villainous character that has ever appeared in the comics. He will be the main villain in Punisher Season 2 alongside the Schultz Crime Family and Billy Russo (Ben Barnes) who will return with a disfigured face and a mind that’s so messed up that it will be a lot like a jigsaw puzzle with several pieces gone. But he won’t be regarded as Jigsaw according to Steve Lightfoot. He will be a much different version of Billy Russo that I love better than the comic book version of him.

Guess who? Season 2. Comin at U.

Agent Dinah Madani (Amber Rose Revah) will return to Punisher Season 2 where she will continue to woo Billy as he tries to recover from his previous battle against The Punisher at the conclusion of Season 1. But he won’t be the same Billy Russo as before. Instead, he’s going to get much worse and more determined to destroy The Punisher no matter what the cost. Do I have the feeling that we’re going to see Dinah and Billy go kissy-kissy again in their birthday suits just like they did in Season 1?

And speaking of wooing… Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) is officially confirmed to appear in Punisher Season 2! 🙂 After that unpleasant ordeal with Bullseye in Daredevil Season 3, she deserves a break from helping Matt Murdock battle Bullseye in the “Karen” episode. Karen is leaving Hell’s Kitchen to go see Frank again and continue their great relationship with each other. #kastle

And best of all, the premiere date of Season 2 has just been released. According to, Punisher Season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix sometime next month. Afterward, when you finish watching Punisher Season 2, pray that Netflix keeps Punisher on the air and renews it for Season 3! I don’t care what all those naysayers say about the show getting canceled one month after the premiere or so. Just pray and hope that Netflix will keep Punisher on the air and bring back Daredevil and renew the show for Season 4, too.

Who knows? Maybe Netflix will surprise us with the announcement that Punisher will remain on Netflix and be renewed for Season 3. You just never know.
