He Is Known As The Punisher!

He Is Known As The Punisher! From Punisher Max #1 - Kitchen Irish

Driven by the tragic deaths of his wife and two children at the hands of the mafia, former U.S. Marine Captain and Vietnam War veteran Frank Castle wages a vicious war against organized crime as The Punisher!
Frank is a dark, violent, gritty vigilante who swore to avenge his fallen family and other families like them by waging a one man war against organized crime. He has all the weaponry and heavy artillery he needs to blow criminal compounds away. A whole slew of mobsters, cartels, gangsters, pedophiles, rapists, psychopaths, abusers, thugs, sadists, racketeers, murderers, corrupt leaders and law enforcers, and bullies all wound up being slain at the hands of The Punisher. His brutal ways of dealing with criminals earned him the title of being “The most dangerous man the world has ever seen.” It’s no wonder why the likes of Spider-Man (Peter Parker), Iron Man (Tony Stark), Daredevil (Matt Murdock), Captain America (Steve Rogers), and Thor (Thor Odinson) are opposed to Frank’s lethal ways. Although they regard him as a dangerous criminal, the Marvel heroes all acknowledge Frank as one of the greatest contributors to cleaning up the Marvel Universe of villainy and will occasionally allow him to join the team when they needed his help to battle dangerous villains they can’t defeat without his aid… if he can refrain from ending the lives of criminals they’re after.
It’s easy to imagine Frank shooting up criminal hideouts and blowing off the heads of mob bosses as the ultimate punishment for their crimes. But it’s hard to imagine (even believe) that there is also a very gentle side to The Punisher that no one knows about except for a very few handful of people who actually saw and were amazed at him doing something no one has ever thought he could do with his violent hands– play the harp. A gentle, stringed musical instrument no one would ever thought that The Punisher would have any talent for. When he’s not shedding criminal blood, Frank spends a lot of time in his private hideaway gently and tenderly plucking, strumming, and caressing the strings of his harp. Why, you asked? Because Frank is doing this in memory of his family whom he communes with through songs, poems, and prayers as he gracefully waves his battle-scarred arms and hands across the strings to fill his private family shrine with stirring harp music that moves The Punisher to joyful tears.
This blog is created to show off my portfolio collection of The Punisher and his harp, a concept I, myself have made up ever since I got addictive to The Punisher months ago while I was spending some time looking at various Punisher artwork all over the web. This special portfolio is all about The Punisher and his portrayal as a harpist who plays the harp in memory of his late family and punishes the guilty like always. I’m going to start posting up my photos and artwork real soon. While I’m at it, I’ll explain why I enjoy doing this and share with you the inspiration behind all the art. Stay tuned.
