Hope is Rising! Hulu will say "Yes!" to the Marvel shows!

Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! I hope you’re enjoying your Valentine’s Day. Sorry I didn’t make any new Valentines for this year. For the past 4 weeks almost, I was worried about the fate of Marvel’s The Punisher, fearing that the show will get officially canceled by Netflix just as so many people said it would. If that happens, the last Marvel show to be canceled by Netflix will be Jessica Jones, the show that’s still going at it with 3rd Season production.

Ever since Punisher Season 2 premiered weeks back, I’ve been dreading the day that Netflix will announced that Punisher will be canceled alongside Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. If it happens we won’t be able to see any more of Jon Bernthal’s impressive Punisher performance, the intense fight scenes, flashbacks, Dream Sequences, and above all the #Kastle ship 🙁 ! And that would be a total shame.

But hope is rising thanks to Hulu, another well known streaming service that has Marvel’s The Runaways airing on its network. It has a great relationship with Marvel and Disney and has agreed to pick up either one or all of the 3 Marvel Netflix canceled shows and renew them for new seasons when they are ready. This means Daredevil, along with Luke Cage, perhaps Iron Fist, and if Netflix says goodbye to both shows, Jessica Jones and above all Punisher (*fingers crossed*) will all be revived and picked up by Hulu that will renew the shows for new Seasons.

Daredevil will be renewed for Season 4
Iron Fist will be renewed for Season 3 (which is doubtful giving the poor ratings the show has compare to the other shows.)
Luke Cage be renewed for Season 3
Jessica Jones will have her show air on Hulu

And above all Punisher will have his show be picked up by Hulu and be renewed for Season 3! That’s more of Jon Bernthals’ Punisher, action and guitar scenes, dead criminal bodies left in Frank’s wake, Frank being 50% human and 50% Punisher, and more of the #Kastle ship (YES!)

If you ask me I prefer AMC to pick up the show and renew it for Season 3. If that happens, viewer ratings will skyrocket more than the Netflix ratings because that show will have more coverage shown on AMC cable network than Netflix. Plus, it will be shown alongside the ever popular horror drama The Walking Dead which had Jon Bernthal appearing as Shane Walsh in Seasons 1 and 2 and the last Rick Grimes episode of that show.

What a thrilling ride it will be if AMC airs Punisher and TWD side by side on their network! People will see Jon Bernthal’s Punisher destroying criminals in one show and after that see the Survivors try to fight off walkers in another show next.

With all of the great possibilities Hulu will have to pick up all of the Marvel Netflix shows and air them alongside The Runaways and the 4 upcoming Marvel shows in which one of them will involve a talking duck (Howard) and a music-themed mutant (Dazzler) Hulu will have rates in ratings, profit, and subscribers sore much higher than all other streaming channels in no time.

Seriously, TBH with you I don’t care about all the other Marvel shows out there. All I care about is Punisher. And I don’t want it canceled at all. Can Netflix please keep Punisher for the sake of all its fans worldwide?! If not, can AMC, FXX, HBO, or especially Hulu, please pick up the show and renew it for Season 3 so we can see more Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, #Kastle, guitar scenes, flashbacks, dream sequences, and more brutal fight scenes, please?

Why does The Punisher play the harp?

It’s easy to imagine The Punisher shooting up criminal hideouts and blowing off the heads of thugs and mob bosses as the ultimate punishment for their crimes. But it’s hard to imagine (and believe) that there is also very gentle side to The Punisher no one knows about except for The Defenders (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist), Microchip (aka David Linus Liberman), and Spider-man (aka Peter Parker) who actually saw and became amazed at him doing something no one has ever thought he could do with his violent hands– play the harp. A gentle stringed musical instrument no one could ever believe that The Punisher would have such talent and ability to use his otherwise destructive hands to gently and tenderly pluck and caress its strings.

Indeed, it’s very hard to imagine and believe that the Punisher’s violent hands that brake bones, strangle necks, and punch out guts are the very same hands that softly and tenderly pluck, caress, and gracefully sweep across the strings of the harp.

Why does he do it, you asked? Because Frank is doing this in memory of his family whom he communes with through songs, poems, and prayers as he gracefully wave his battle-scarred arms and hands across the strings to fill his private family shrine with harp music that moves The Punisher to joyful tears.

Where did the Idea of The Punisher and his Harp come from?

It’s a concept I, Sherry Konkus made up myself. It combines my new found obsession with The Punisher that I had since 2014 and my life long love for the harp. It is the very best concept I ever made. This is my version of The Punisher from Marvel Comics who is portrayed by me as the punishing harpist who plays the harp in memory of his late family who got killed by a criminal mob years ago and whenever he needs a break from waging a one man war against organized crime.

The Punisher was created by Gerry Conway with the help of artists John Romita, Sr. and Ross Andru. His name coined by Stan Lee. The Punisher is owned and trademarked by MARVEL.

The idea, concept, and inspiration behind The Punisher’s portrayal as The Punishing Harpist who plays the harp in memory of his family is in fact my own. Sweetest. Idea. Ever.
