Good Riddance to Secret Wars!!

Secret Wars Logo.Secret Wars #9 is out. And boy, am I glad it’s over! I’ll try not to spoil it too much, but here’s a review of what happened in the final issue of Secret Wars storyline. Owen, The Molecule Man, was hungry and when Reeds Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic) and Doctor Doom see him, Owen asks for snacks. But they didn’t give him any which lead Owen to destroy BattleWorld (Good Riddance!) while Reeds and Doom battle each other over their rivalry (and none of them brought snacks!). Meanwhile Black Panther (aka T’Challa) takes the Infinity Gauntlet and travel back in time to the day of the 1st Incursion only to find that no Incursion was taking place, but a brand new space program set up by Wukanda is being formed and the Marvel Universe as we know of gets restored with Miles Morales, who gave Owen a burger, happily reunited with his lost parents.
The Main Marvel Universe 616 (now renamed The Prime Universe) is restored thanks to The Future Federation made up of Reeds, his wife Susan, and their kids who are now the gods and goddesses of the Marvel Multiverse. Peter and Miles are web slinging together and Doctor Doom in Latveria standing tall and proud with a new face and a new outlook on life.
That means The Punisher is back (Hooray!!)! He along with everyone else is alive and well. That makes me happy!! And relieved to know that it’s all over. This hateful prolonged overblown, overwhelming Fantastic Four storyline of Jonathan Hickman’s has finally come to an end after months of comic book delays and a teaser that did not suit me well. Like I said I never would’ve cared about it had the storyline never include The Punisher’s demise at the Final Incursion. I didn’t want to see my favorite Marvel character die and not come back. I rather see him alive, well, and unaffected by the all of events of the Marvel World. Perhaps in some future major Marvel/DC Comic event we’ll see him get sent to the DC Comics Multiverse where he’ll end up battling Batman over ideologies of how crime should be fought but then later on team up to combat a more dangerous villain than the usual villains Batman has to put up with in Gotham City on a daily bases and eventually be a permanent character in the DC Comics universe.
Hey. I know I’m dreaming, but it could happen. I’m just glad Secret Wars is all over and done.  I can get over it now and do some more projects with The Punisher and his Harp.
