Captain America's Controversial Story

Cover to Captain America: Steve Rogers #1There’s no doubt about it. Nobody’s liking the way Nick Spencer is writing the newest Captain America #1 issue that’s just been released today. That’s because at the end of the issue, Cap pushed one of his former allies out the plane that’s flying way up in the air and utters “Hail Hydra” while standing next to a prisoner who was held by Baron Zemo. The ending is highly controversial, indeed. But that’s no excuse for making death threats to Spencer all because he decided to shake up the Marvel Comic world with this controversial story line that’s just getting started.
Punisher, himself, would’ve never believed that his favorite hero, Cap, would join forces with Hydra and betray everything Cap long stood and fought for. He would investigate to find out whether Cap really did join Hydra or not. If it’s true, then Punisher would sadly have no choice but to destroy him because he crossed the line by joining Hydra and ultimately betraying the red, white and blue, freedom, liberty, stars and stripes, and everything else he fought and stood for.  But if Cap is only pretending to side with Hydra only for him to strike down the sinister organization when the right moment comes, then Frank would spare Cap and help him defeat Hydra.
I admit, I’m no fan of Cap. In fact, I don’t really care about any Marvel character out there except Punisher. Still, I don’t think it’s right to lash out against Spencer all because he created a controversial issue that’s a part of a much bigger story line that could end with Cap turning himself against Hydra, defeat the evil organization once more, and resume his role as America’s Greatest Patriot.
