Why I hate Cap #SecretEmpire

Secret Empire #0 cover by MARK BROOKSThanks to Nick Spencer’s Secret Empire, I think I’m going to hate Captain America. To tell you the truth, I wasn’t really a fan of Cap at all. As a small kid I enjoyed watching every Spider-man segment from The Electric Company along with the 1967 Spider-man cartoon show and Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends from 1981. I used to watched the hit 70s’ TV show Bill Bixby’s The Incredible Hulk and The Incredible Hulk 1982 cartoon series.
I also remember watching The Fantastic Four along with the Flintstones cartoon series which featured The Thing. I enjoyed watching those shows, but I never was a real fan of any of the heroes who stared in those shows. I never watched the 90s’ version of Spider-man or The X-Men. Nor did I bother to watch any of the modern Marvel shows like Marvel’s Superhero Squad Show, Disney FX’s Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, or Ultimate Spider-Man. Didn’t like watching the 60s’ versions of Iron Man, Namor The Sub-Mariner, or Captain America, either.
Speaking of Captain America, Secret Empire has giving me a real good reason to regard Cap as my most hated Marvel character of them all. I don’t know who to hate, Deadpool or Cap. Deadpool is given too much comic book publicity and is highly annoying all the way down to the core.
Cap on the other hand is a self-righteous hypocritical superhero turned evil by the Cosmic Cube and is the major villain in the Secret Empire story line. If I have to choose between hating Deadpool and hating Cap most of all, I think I’ll pick the self-righteous Cap, leaving Deadpool as the second most hated Marvel character of mine.
You should know by now that my all time favorite and most beloved of all the Marvel Characters of mine is none other than The Punisher, the so-called “murderous piece of trash” and anti-hero (and harpist) who has more moral sense inside him than Cap. He kills criminals without hesitation. But he also has a very strong heart and empathy towards innocent people. He won’t kill innocent people and insists that no one must become like him because it’s not worth putting any valued life on the line when one finds themselves face to face with deadly villains who will give them no chance at living a dangerous, volatile life that only Frank can live.
Cap, on the other hand, doesn’t practice what he preaches; ends up killing a lot of people on many occasions voluntarily or involuntarily, innocent or guilty in spite of embracing the sanctity of human life just like any Marvel Hero who highly values human life like Spider-Man and Daredevil does.
I guess Cap won’t be embracing any kind of sanctity except for Hydra, the organization Cap now leads. Nowadays all he cares about is world conquest and for the world to fall under the rule of Hydra starting in the US where Cap takes over and subjugates all the US to the fascist and Nazi-style principals of Hydra while the Marvel Heroes flee underground to start a resistance movement. And you thought the current presidential administration is bad. Well, Cap’s administration in the Marvel universe is even worse! Resist Hydra and that stinkin’ Cap!

Oh I know exactly how Cap must be dealt with. Oh Frank…

Punishment comes to Cap!
